Mega Man 10 Walkthrough

Mega Man 10 is an action platformer that was developed by Inti Creates and published by Capcom. The game was released on March 1, 2010 on the Nintendo Wii, March 11, 2010 on Playstation 3, and on March 31, 2010 on Xbox 360. The game puts the player in the role of the titular Mega Man, as well as Proto Man, who must go through 8 stages and defeat enemy robots to save the world. This walkthrough will cover strategies on getting through the levels and defeating the bosses. The walkthrough will also assume the player is using Mega Man on Normal difficulty.
Story
Robots around the world have been infected with a computer virus called Roboenza. This virus causes robots to malfunction, making it difficult for humans to perform their everyday tasks. As the outbreak gets worse, the robots start getting violent and go on a rampage. So Mega Man must set out to defeat these robots and help Dr. Light create a cure for this disease.
Gameplay
In this installment, the player can choose to use Mega Man or Proto Man. Mega Man plays the same way he has been in the previous installments. Proto Man can use a charge shot, slide, and uses his shield when he jumps. He also takes double damage and has greater knockback that Mega Man. The game also includes an Easy difficulty as well as a Hard one that can be unlocked.
The game itself is identical to the previous installments. The game has the player go through 8 different stages in any desired order. Each stage puts the player against a series of robot enemies and obstacles before facing the boss at the end of each level. Defeating the bosses grants the player an extra ability that can be used to make the obstacles easier as well as a weakness for one of the other bosses.
Mega Man 10 Trailer
This video starts with the story of Mega Man 10. Then it shows off the 2nd playable character, Proto Man, who is accessible from the beginning. The 8 robot masters are then teased for a quick moment while their respective levels are shown. At the end of the trailer, the game shows off a new Easy Mode which adds platforms that make the levels easy to go through as well as simplifying enemy patterns.
Blade Man
- Start the level by moving right. Along the way, you will find a couple of cannons and some axe enemies. The cannons will fire bombs towards you as well as adjust their angle depending on your distance from them. The axes will continuously jump off the ground and try to slash you and they move fast.
- When you get inside the castle, watch out for the bug robots on the ceiling. When you get close, they will drop down on you. After a few spike pits, you will find a slider. They move fast when you get close and they cannot be defeated with a regular shot. When they get hit, they will fire a few shots towards you. They can only be defeated by the Chill Spike.
- If you have the Commando Bomb, you can use it to destroy the blocks in the ceiling and grab the bolt. In any case, grab the ladder and climb up.
- In the next room, there will be an axe and a slider. The axe is easy to deal with but the slider may provide difficulties if you don't have the Chill Spike.
- To reach the bolts at the top right, use the Rush Coil. Then jump to the ladder at the left and climb up.
- In the next room, head right and defeat the cannon and the flying robot. Then you will see a seesaw. This seesaw moves to the right when you jump on the currently raised platform. If you leave it alone for a while, it will move left. Use the seesaws in this room to move right.
- At the 2nd seesaw, watch out for the axes and the flying robot. When you reach the high platform, jump up to it. Grab the energy pellets to the left if you need them. Then head right through the door.
Mini-Boss: Tricastle
- There are 3 pairs of eyes on this boss. Those are the spots you need to fire at. Watch out for the cannon fire.
- Occasionally, the door at the middle will open up and send spiked platforms towards you. While they can do damage if they hit you, they can also be used as platforms. This is necessary to reach the eyes at the side.
- When the center eyes are destroyed, the door will stay open and the platforms will continuously fly at you.
- This boss can be defeated quickly if you have the Water Shield. The shield can also protect you from the cannon fire.
- Once you defeated the boss, go to the right and climb down the ladder.
- The following room has 2 bug robots. One of them is tricky to deal with because it is jumping towards you from the lower part of the stairs. Fire at the other one while it is on the ceiling. You could also use the Water Shield or the Wheel Cutter. Now drop to the lower left corner.
- The next room has an axe and a bug. Get past these enemies and drop down the pit at the right. The Water Shield or the Chill Spike are good weapons to use in this area.
- Go left and destroy the cannon. Then drop down and head right. Fire at the bug enemy. If you want to reach the bolt above you, use the Rush Coil.
- Jump onto the seesaw and use it to move right while avoiding the spike pit. There are a lot of flying enemies in this area. The Water Shield makes this section simpler to get through.
- When you reach the end, there will be 2 paths. The top path has a W-Tank and some energy pellets. You need the Commando Bomb to reach the W-Tank but the energy pellets can be reached with the Rush Coil.
- Go onto the next seesaw. The Commando Bomb can be used to get the 1up but it is tricky to get. The best way to grab it is to stand on the edge of the platform, fire the Commando Bomb, and direct it up towards the breakable ceiling. As the 1up falls, jump right. Once you grab it, immediately move left and land on the seesaw.
- Use the seesaw to move right. Do not worry about the spikes. You will not jump high enough to hit them. Use the Water Shield to protect yourself from the flying enemies.
- When you reach the end, grab the energy pellet if you need it and then jump to the upper platform. Then move right and get past the axe. Then enter the door.
- Boss: Blade Man
- Blade Man will jump to the wall and fire 3 blades. Then he will jump to the ceiling and fire 3 more blades. Finally, he will jump to the other wall and fire 3 more blades.
- To avoid the blades, walk towards the wall that Blade Man is clinging on. If you are close enough, you should be able to avoid the blades. When Blade Man is on the ceiling, stand in an area that is opposite from where he is facing.
- From one of the walls, Blade Man will jump towards you. Time your jump so that you could safely jump over him.
- By defeating Blade Man, you will receive the Triple Blade. This will shoot 3 blades in the direction you are facing. One blade will move horizontally while the other 2 blades will move in an upward angle when you are standing, or downward if you are in the air.
- Weakness: Commando Bomb. Firing the bomb at Blade Man will not do a lot of damage. To make effective damage, Blade Man must be hit by the impact of the bomb's explosion.
Solar Man
- Climb up the ladder and walk across the conveyor belt. Then jump onto the next ladder and climb up.
- The block enemy will fly towards you and occasionally spawn itself into doubles. They can also be destroyed in 1 shot. In any case, jump across the conveyor belts and climb up the ladders.
- As you climb the ladder, watch out for the missile that the launcher enemy fires at you. When you get to the top of the ladder, go across the conveyor belt and jump onto the next ladder.
- Reach the top of the ladder and then go left and across the next conveyor belt. Then climb the ladder. Watch out for the spawning enemies
- In the next area, you will run into a couple of spawning enemies and a flower. The flower will flash for a few seconds before firing a powerful laser. After firing the laser, the flower will leave its petals open for a few seconds. Only in this state will you be able to fire at it.
- After the flower, you will see an arc of flames jumping out of a couple of chambers. The chambers will flash an arrow when the arc is about to appear. Walk across the chambers when the arc is not present. The Water Shield is also useful for protection.
- Keep going right as you get past the flowers, the spawners, and the arcs of flames. When you find a conveyor belt, jump onto it and go right for a 1up. Watch out for the spawners. Then go left and get off the conveyor belt. Afterwards, go right and through the door.
Mini-Boss: Suzak and Fenix
- You will face off against 2 birds. One will fly high in the air and shoot flames towards you. The other will fly low to the ground.
- Watch the angle the flames fly so that you could avoid the attacks. Fire at the bird that is at the bottom.
- The flames can be easily avoided if you stand under the high bird. However, the birds may alternate heights and you will be within range of attack of the other bird.
- Occasionally, the birds will turn into flames and fly across the room. Jumping over the flames will allow you to evade the move.
- Note: The Water Shield is a useful weapon to use against this boss.
- Once the birds are defeated, go right and climb up the ladder. When you reach the top, go across the conveyor belts and jump onto the ladder. Watch out for the arc of flames at the left.
- Climb up the ladder as you avoid the next arc of flames. An efficient way to pass this arc is to position yourself below the bottom chamber. When the flames get stored in that chamber, immediately climb up. You should get past the arc unharmed if you did this right. The Water Shield could make this easier. When you reach the top, get past the flower and the launcher.
- Walk across the conveyor belts and watch out for the arc of flames. The best way to avoid them is to walk past the arcs while the fire is stored in the left chambers.
- The last arc will be tricky to deal with since there is also a flower in the way. Position yourself under the arc and fire at the flower while its petals are opened. Then move right while the arc is not present. Keep going right and get past the next flower. Then climb up the ladder.
- Use the Rush Coil to reach the energy pellets if you need them. Then climb up the ladders at the right. To get past the arcs of flames, get onto the left ladder and position yourself below the bottom chamber at the right. Once the fire is stored in that chamber, immediately climb up. You should be able to get past the arcs unharmed.
- In the next area, watch out for the next arc of flames. Then get onto the ground and destroy the flower. If you climb up the left ladder and avoid the flower's lasers, you will find an E-tank at the top. However, you will not be able to get past that small area unless you have the Commando Bomb.
- If you climb the ladders at the right, you will have to deal with more arcs of flames. To get past them safely, get onto the right ladder. When you reach the area that has 2 flowers at the left, position yourself below the chamber at the left. When the fire is stored in that chamber, climb up.
- Note: The Water Shield or the Wheel Cutter could help you get past the chambers more efficiently.
- When you reach the top, destroy the launcher as you watch out for the missiles. Then climb up the ladder. Then go right when you reach the top. Get past the flowers and fire arcs and then go through the door.
- Boss: Solar Man
- Solar Man will jump around and fire balls of flame at you. The balls will split into waves of fire when they are at the same height as you.
- You could avoid the waves if you jump to the height of the balls before they reach the floor. The waves become difficult to avoid if you are too close to Solar Man so keep your distance.
- When you defeat Solar Man, you will receive the Solar Blaze. This will fire a small red ball that will stay idle for a few seconds. The ball will then create 2 waves of fire that will travel left and right.
- Weakness: Water Shield
Sheep Man
- Go right and you will find a mouse pointer enemy. It will create a 4 by 4 block whose squares will fly sideways and downward. Then it will create a 4 by 1 column whose squares will fly sideways. Finally, it will create a 4 by 1 row whose squares will fly downwards. Get rid of the mouse pointer while avoiding those squares.
- As you keep going right, you will find a group of blue blocks that disappear after standing on them. Keep going right and walk across the blue and yellow blocks.
- You will then find a platform enemy. The supporting column is destroyed quickly but it will also regenerate if you leave it alone. The platform fires sound waves that can ricochet off of walls and ceilings. However, the enemy can also be used as a platform to reach high areas.
- Destroy the column of the platform enemy and jump onto its head. Then jump over the spikes and onto the blue platform. Before the platform disappears, jump onto the next blue platform and grab the bolts. Below you is a shield enemy that flies sideways and can only be destroyed from behind, unless you have the Triple Blade.
- Go down the pit at the right and you should land on a yellow group of platforms. If you want to grab the 1up, jump onto any group of platforms above the red one and let them disappear. You should create an opening for the 1up. Grab it and quickly jump to a safe surface before the red blocks disappear. Grab the bolts at the right, jump over the spikes, and then jump down the pit at the left.
- In the next area, jump onto the blue blocks. When they disappear, land on the yellow blocks. Then go right and down. Destroy the platform enemy, jump over the first pit from the right and drop down the left pit.
- Grab the energy pellets and then go right. The hovering brains can activate certain machinery they land in and create a weapon to be used against you. However, there is no machinery they can use so destroy them and go right.
- Walk across the colored blocks. Keep going right across those blocks and you should not fall as they disappear. Destroy the enemies along the way and use Rush Coil to reach the bolts on the high platform.
- Land on the right end of the conveyor belt and move in any direction. The belts will cause some platforms to sit up and they will stay up as long as the gauges below them have charge.
- If you need the energy pellet, quickly jump up the platforms and grab it. Otherwise, jump to the right and go to the next area.
- Go right and off the platform. As you drop down, quickly move left to avoid falling into the spikes. When the blue blocks disappear, drop down the pit it is guarding. In the following area, land on the blocks to make them disappear, especially the red ones. Grab the energy pellet if you need it and destroy the shield enemy. Then drop through the door.
Mini-boss: Octobulb
- At the beginning, Octobulb will send 2 flying light bulbs towards you. Destroy them and then immediately run across one of the 2 conveyor belts. This will charge up Octobulb as well as 4 platforms needed to reach him. Fire at him from one of the platforms.
- When Octobulb's charge wears off, he will send 2 electric sparks across the wires, starting from the center. Avoid these sparks as you charge up Octobulb. He may create more flying light bulbs to attack you. Just keep jumping up the charged platforms and fire at Octobulb.
- Good weapons to use against Octobulb are the Triple Blade and the Water Shield.
- When Octobulb is defeated, drop down the pit and destroy the platform enemy. Then go right and defeat the next pair of platform enemies.
- Walk on the conveyor belt to charge up the platforms. Grab the energy pellets above you if you need them. Otherwise, jump to the right before the platforms lose their charge.
- If you get across the platforms quickly enough, you should be able to reach the high platform. Otherwise, defeat the platform enemy at the right and use the conveyor belt to charge the platforms. Use the platforms to reach the ladder at the top. Then climb up the ladder.
- Go to the right. Destroy the hovering brains before they land in their machinery. Then walk across the conveyor belt to charge the platform. Quickly jump up to the high platform and go right. Then climb up the ladder.
- Land on the blue blocks to get rid of the spikes. Then climb up to the high platform. Jump across the appearing blocks as they appear in the following order: next to the right platform, up-left, down-left, and to the left. Jump to the ladder and climb up.
- Go right and destroy the platform enemies. Then jump across the appearing blocks as they go in the following order: below the ledge of the high platform, up-right, down-right, down-right, up-right, and up-left.
- Jump onto the high platform and grab the energy pellets. Then go right and destroy the hovering brain. Then jump across the next set of appearing blocks as they appear in this order: 2 to the right of the platform, 2 to the right, above the spike pit, left, 2 up-right, right.
- Then jump onto the platform and go right. The mouse pointer enemy will keep itself out of reach so watch out for the flying blocks. Before you go down, wait for the appearing blocks to appear above the spikes. Land on those blocks, go left, and go down the pit.
- In the next area, have the blocks disappear so that you could create an opening to the red blocks. As the red blocks are about to disappear, jump to the platform to the left. Grab the energy pellet to the right if you need it.
- Then jump onto the blue blocks at the top left. Then land on the green blocks below you. Now land on the platform guarded by those green blocks and grab the W-tank. Drop down the pit to the left.
- Watch out for the shield enemies in the area. Use the Triple Blade against them if you have it. Land on the top row of blocks. As they disappear, jump onto a safe area of the next row of blocks. Keep doing this until you reach the bottom. Destroy the bottom shield enemy and grab the bolt. Then drop down the pit to the left.
- Destroy the mouse pointer enemies and watch out for the blocks they send at you. Then go through the door.
- Boss: Sheep Man
- Sheep Man will make a high jump and split himself into 4 clouds. The clouds will move to random positions and shoot bolts of lightning at you. The bolts have a small range of impact on the ground. So either jump over the impact or keep your distance from the clouds.
- The fourth bolt of lightning will cause small lightning balls to move across the floor. The cloud of origin will then become Sheep Man.
- Sheep Man will then follow up with a small ball of lightning that moves in a wave. Jump over the ball while it is close to the ground. This move is hard to avoid if you are too close to Sheep Man.
- By defeating Sheep Man, you will receive the Thunder Wool. Firing this weapon will create a small cloud that will fly into the air. Then it will shoot out a bolt of lightning for a few seconds.
- Weakness: Rebound Striker. The weapon could be used to remove the clouds in the air. If you hit the Sheep Man cloud, it will not create the lightning balls and Sheep Man will return instantly.
Chill Man
- The floors in this stage will be slippery so be careful as you move around this stage.
- Go right to find a couple of snowman enemies. These guys will throw their heads toward you. When these heads land, they will create bullets that fly in 4 directions. Destroy these snowmen
- Keep going right and destroy the shields and snowmen. You will then find blue blocks that will break after landing on or shooting them twice. They can also be destroyed instantly by certain weapons. Go to the blue block at the very right and destroy it. Then fall down the pit.
- Jump across the blue blocks and destroy the ones at the left. Then fall down, destroy the shield enemy, and destroy the blue block at the left. Go down the pit.
- Go across the blue blocks and grab the bolt at the right. Watch out for the bullets the snowman sends to you. Destroy the 2nd block from the right and fall down. Destroy the snowman, destroy the block at the right, and go down the pit.
- Watch out for the shield enemies in this area. Destroy the blue blocks to go down. Grabbing the 1up at the right is risky since it is contained in an area that is difficult to jump out of safely. Destroy the block at the bottom left and go down the pit.
- As you fall, press right and you should land on the upper platform. Go right and destroy the blocks and the eye block enemies you see. Then jump across the timers and go up the ladder. You will find a W-tank at the end. Press against the timers to get rid of them. Watch out for their explosions.
- If you ended up at the lower row of the area previously, you will still arrive in this room but you will not have access to the W-tank. In that case, destroy the eyes blocks and the blue blocks. Destroy the shield enemy, jump to the high platform, go across the blue blocks, and climb up the ladder.
- In the next room, destroy the blue blocks, the eye blocks, and the shield. Jump to the high platform and climb up the ladder.
- In this room, there will 2 jumping enemies that will cause the blocks to be destroyed. The small one jumps quickly and takes less shots to destroy. The big one moves slowly and takes more shots to destroy. Destroy these enemies, jump up the platforms, and go up the ladder.
- Go to the right as you destroy the jumping enemies and the snowmen. There are birds that will send egg missiles towards you. Watch out for those.
- As you head right, there will be plenty of jumping enemies that can destroy the blue blocks easily. This may cause you to fall down the pits so be careful as you destroy the jumping enemies.
- When you reach ground, keep going right. You could grab the energy pellets below the high ledge. However that could be risky since there are enemies that could destroy the blue blocks, making it difficult to get out of that cramped. In any case, keep going right and through the door.
- Boss: Chill Man
- Chill Man has a simple pattern. He will fire his ice towards the wall and the ground to form spikes that can damage you.
- If you get hit by the ice shots, you will be temporarily frozen.
- He will leap across the stage. At this point, either jump over him as he lands or walk under him during the leap.
- Defeating Chill Man will grant you the Chill Spike. When this weapon hits an enemy, it will freeze them for a short moment. If the weapon hits the ground or a wall, it will create a row of spikes that could do heavy damage to any enemy that touches it. It is also the only weapon in the game that is capable of defeating the sliders.
- Finishing this stage will also get you the Rush Jet. This weapon will summon Rush who will be in jet form. Jump on Rush and he will fly forward while the energy gauge is not empty. Use the up and down buttons to alter your height.
- Weakness: Solar Blaze
Commando Man
- Go right as you keep yourself above the quicksand. Along the way, you will find a wasp and a land mine. The wasp will drop a small missile on the land mine to reveal an antlion. It will fire shots in an arc and they can be avoided if you hide under the quicksand.
- Defeat the flying enemy and avoid the land mine, or defeat the antlion if the land mine was destroyed. Then keep going right. Destroy the wasp and jump over the land mine. Then destroy the antlion in the way. Keep going right and destroy the next wasp. At the end, you will find 2 paths to go through.
- If you go through the right path you will immediately find yourself in a sandstorm that will blow you to the right. The sand will block your view of the level layout so to keep yourself from getting blown into a cliff, stand next to a wall that will block your inertia.
- Go right as you destroy the Metools. They can only be shot at when their eyes are showing. Otherwise, your shots will do nothing.
- The following series of pits will have bombs will jumping out. Shoot at the bombs while they are jumping upwards or watch for an opening before going across the pit. Make sure to watch out for the Metool and the sandstorm as you move right.
- Tip: The Rush Jet makes it easier to deal with the sandstorms. Do note that even if you fly at the maximum height, the jumping bombs will still jump towards you.
- When you reach the end of the path, drop down the pit. Hold the left button and you should land next to an energy pellet. Continue going down the pit while avoiding the shield enemy.
- When you land, destroy the Metool and the shield. Jump up the platforms and drop down the pit at the left.
- If you go through the pit destroy the Metool and the shield enemy. Jump up the platforms and drop down the pit at the left. If you hold the right button, you should land in front of 3 energy pellets. Drop down the pit when the shield enemy is out of the way.
- Now go right and jump up the platforms as you destroy the shields and the Metool. Go right at the top platform.
- In the following area, you will find sandstorms that will blow you to the left. To deal with these storms, position yourself at the left side of a wall. When the sand blows, walk into that wall and you will not get blown into spikes or pits.
- Keep going right as you destroy the Metools in the way. When you start seeing pits, watch out for the jumping bombs as you cross them.
- To reach the E-tank on the high platform, use the Rush Coil. You could also jump from the platform above the spike wall when the sandstorm is present but that is a risky action. In any case, go right into the next area.
- Go right. If you destroy the following land mine, you will reveal 3 bolts you could grab. As you keep going right, you will run into wasps as well as land mines that are hiding antlions. After you get past the quicksand, get through the jumping enemy and into the next area.
- The following area will have a sandstorm that will blow you to the left. Go right as you watch for the jumping bombs. Grab the 1up off the high platform if you need it. Do note that reaching that platform requires precise jumping. Watch out for the sandstorms whenever they hit.
- The following area has some energy pellets and an antlion. Destroy the antlion and keep going right.
- Now you will run into sandstorms that will blow you to the right. In any case, keep going right as you watch out for the jumping bombs and the Metools.
- The 2nd pit after the 2nd Metool has a wide width. A regular jump may not be enough to get across it. In this case wait for a sandstorm and use it help yourself jump across the pit. Then keep going right.
- In the following area, stay at the high platform and shoot at the jumping enemy while it is at its maximum height. Once it is destroyed, go right and through the door.
- Boss: Commando Man
- Commando Man will fire bombs in your direction. Even if the bombs are flying in a direction at a greater height than yours, they will move down once they are over. They will also create a small impact that will damage you.
- Commando Man will do ground pounds that will stun you when you are on the ground. So do a jump as Commando Man is about to land.
- Upon defeating Commando Man, you will receive the Commando Bomb. This weapon will fire a small missile that will create a heavy impact when it hits a surface. You could change its direction so that it flies vertically followed by horizontally. The directions can only be changed twice per shot.
- Weakness: Wheel Cutter
Nitro Man
- Go right and you will run into a rolling enemy. If you destroy the main body, the cannon it holds will fly up and fire at you. If you destroy the cannon, it will increase its acceleration. The Triple Blade and the Solar Blaze are the best weapons for destroying it completely.
- After a few more rolling enemies, climb up the ladder. Watch out for Sniper Joe at the top. He is invulnerable while holding up his shield. He can be hit when he pulls his shield away but he will be firing many projectiles. Triple Blade and Solar Blaze are efficient weapons for dealing with him.
- Climb up the ladder and destroy the rolling enemy. Use the Rush Coil to grab the 3 bolts above you. Then climb up the ladder at the left.
- The next area has red flashing lights in the ground. If one of them flashes green, a truck will come from the right. Jump over it when this happens.
- If you reach the top platform with the green bulb, you can shoot at the bulb to temporarily turn the red lights off. In this state, no trucks will appear. To reach that platform, jump onto a truck and quickly summon the Rush Jet. Jump onto Rush and have him take you up to an opening you can jump through.
- When you reach the right end of the area, you will find a bolt on a high platform and a ladder. The truck or the Rush Coil is need to reach the bolt. A regular jump is enough to grab the ladder. Climb up that ladder.
- In the following area is a guarding enemy. The enemy will charge towards but it will stay back if you fire at the shield. This enemy must be shot in the eyes before it is destroyed. However, it can be destroyed easily with a Solar Blaze. After destroying the guard, go to the ladder at the left and climb up.
- In the next area, there will be trucks driving from the left. You could try to go onto the high platform and shoot at the green bulb but that will not be necessary here. When you reach the right end of the stage, use the truck as a platform for reaching the ladder. Be careful not to run into the spikes.
- Climb up the ladder. Grab the energy pellets in the next area. Then climb up the ladder at the left.
- The next area will be another road with trucks driving from the right. However, the trucks in this area are much bigger. There are also plenty of spike walls that you could ram into if you are not careful, not to mention the flying Metools.
- If you use the Rush Jet method to reach the top platform then you could just go right with less trouble, other than the Sniper Joes. You could also grab the 1up at the right end of the road.
- If you take the bottom path, jump onto the trucks as they appear and immediately jump off before they run you through the spikes. Watch out for the Metools along the way. At the right end of the road, drop down the narrow pit.
- Go left and destroy the Metool. Then drop onto the road while watching out for trucks.
- When you see the high platforms surrounding the Metool. Use a truck as a platform for reaching the right platform. Use the Rush Coil to reach the high platform above and go right. Grab the E-tank at the end of the path, drop through the hole, and go down the narrow pit.
- Go left over the timer and destroy the Metool. When the timer explodes, drop down the hole that it was guarding.
- Press right and you should land on the right timer. When the timer is about to explode, jump onto the timer at the left. When the right timer is gone, jump onto the platform and grab the bolt. Then drop down the pit in the center position.
- You should land on a small platform. Jump onto the the timer at the right. If you need the energy pellet at the top right, jump to the timer at the right, press yourself against the top timer, and then immediately go left and land on the timer you just jumped from. When the right timers explodes, jump to the energy pellet. Then jump back to the center platform.
- If you need the W-tank, jump onto the 5 timer, press yourself against the 3 timer at the left, and then jump onto the 3 timer at the right. When the left timer explodes, jump to the left platform and grab the W-tank. If you need the energy pellet at the bottom right, use the Rush Jet from the spot where you grabbed the W-tank.
- Drop down the pit and then fall to the bottom platform. Defeat the guard enemy and then go down the pit at the left.
- When you land, go right. You will find many rolling enemies as well as a Sniper Joe. Watch out for these enemies as they appear, or use the Solar Blaze to take them out quickly. Go through the door at the right end of the room.
- Boss: Nitro Man
- Nitro Man will occasionally turn into a bike a run towards you. He will then run up the wall and throw wheels at you.
- The wheels will bounce a few times and then run across the ground. When the wheels hit the walls, they will run up the walls before falling towards you.
- By defeating Nitro Man, you will get the Wheel Cutter. This weapon will roll across the ground and even run up walls. You could also hold the fire button to hold the wheel in your hands. If you go into a wall with the wheel in your hand, it will allow you to quickly climb the wall.
- Weakness: Chill Spike. Note that if you shoot the Chill Spike straight at Nitro Man, he will freeze for a quick second with little damage. To make the damage effective, fire the ice onto the ground and let them form the spikes. Then have Nitro Man run over the spikes.
Strike Man
- Go right and you will find an orange baseball robot. The robot will throw its baseballs in a downward arc. Destroy the robot and keep going right past the next baseball robot.
- You will find a slider and a blue baseball robot. This version will throw its baseballs in a downward arc before the ball flies in your direction. Destroy that robot and avoid the slider. Watch out for the locker robots and climb down the ladder.
- Drop to the ground while avoiding the slider. Jump to the left and grab the bolts. You will need precise jumping to reach them because the gap to the bolts is wide. In any case, go down the gap and through the door.
Mini-boss: Keeper
- The direction Keeper looks at will be the direction the soccer ball will come in. Go near the corner that is in the direction that Keeper is looking at and you should avoid the soccer ball.
- The fists will come down and create an impact that will stun you. This could be hard to avoid because you also need to watch out for the soccer ball.
- When 2 fists show up, jump onto one of them as they pound the ground. When the fists go up, fire at the head. Repeat the pattern until is defeated.
- The best weapons to use against are Water Shield and Commando Bomb.
- Go down the pit. Grab the bolts and energy pellets on the top platform while avoiding the slider. Then go right at the bottom platform. There 2 basket enemies along the way. The gray one will throw bouncing balls towards you. The orange one will throw bouncing footballs that bounce in different angles.
- Go right and fire at the gray basket enemy. Then jump across the basketball hoops while avoiding the sliders. Then climb up the ladder.
- In the next room, there are soccer balls that will propel into the air when fired at. Use the soccer balls to reach the blue baseball enemy while avoiding the ball. Destroy the enemy, grab the energy pellet if you need it, then climb up the ladders.
- Use the soccer balls to reach the 2 bolts and then climb up the ladder at the upper left. Watch out for the balls from the gray basket enemy. Then go right as you propel the spiked soccer balls into the air. Defeat any other enemies in the way. Climb down the ladder at the end.
- There are 4 spiked soccer balls guarding a 1up. You could stand on top of the soccer balls as long as you do not touch the spike. Jump across the soccer balls, grab the 1up, then propel the balls into the air to reach the door at the bottom.
Mini-boss: Keeper 2
- This version of Keeper has electric field at the corners. Watch for the direction is looking and avoid the soccer balls accordingly.
- When 2 fists show up, jump onto one of them. If the fist you are standing one rises immediately, fire at the head and then jump off before the fist moves towards the electricity. You could then drop onto the other fist as it rises towards the top, fire at the head a few times and then jump off.
- If the fist moves sideways, fire at the head as the fist rises and get off before the fist moves towards the head.
- Water Shield and Commando Bomb are still effective against this boss.
- When Keeper is defeated, go right. There are many locker enemies and a couple of basket enemies. They will fire plenty of shots at you so watch out for those. Use the Water Shield if necessary.
- Climb up the ladder. Watch out for the baseballs and use the soccer balls to reach the height needed to fire at the baseball enemies. When the enemy is defeated, use the soccer balls to reach the energy pellet and then go up the ladder.
- Go right and watch for the locker enemies, the basket enemies, and the baseball enemy. Go past the soccer balls until you reach a wall. Use one of the soccer balls to reach the height needed to fire at the basket enemy. Then go through the door.
- Boss: Strike Man
- Strike Man will do a jump and then throw a ball at you. The ball will bounce off the walls so watch out for the direction it moves to avoid damage.
- While the ball is bouncing off the wall, Strike Man will curl up and bounce along the stage. Any shots that hit him in this state will be ineffective.
- Strike Man will make 2 or 3 bounces. It will frequently make high bounces with the occasional sideways bounces. Try to walk under Strike Man during his high bounces.
- When Strike Man is in his normal form, fire your shots at him. Watch out for the ball he throws at you.
- When you defeat Strike Man, you will receive the Rebound Striker. This weapon bounces off walls, ceilings, and floors. The weapon can be shot straight, up, or down.
- Weakness: Triple Blade
Pump Man
- Drop down the pit. If you land on one of the high platforms, grab the bolts at the right. The version of Metool that shows up in this stage will fire purple shots at you. They do not damage you but they will cause you to slip on the floors.
- Drop down the right pit and grab the large bolt. Fire at the bug enemy and go down the pit at the left. Then go right and destroy the bug enemy.
- The waterfalls in this stage will have an effect on your jumps as you may not be able to jump as high.
- The pipe enemies will fly into the gaps of other pipes and fire green shots at you. Fire at these pipes to make some openings and go right. Watch out for the Metools and the pipe enemies.
- Use the Rush Coil to reach the bolts above the body of water. Then jump into the water and jump across the pipes. Watch out for the shrimp and the Metools. There are waterfalls in this area so you will have to jump from the edge of the platforms to be able to get across the pits. The next area will have 2 paths to take.
- If you take the right path go right as you destroy any enemies in the way. Use the Rush Coil to reach the 1up. Then go right and jump over the pits. Then climb the ladder at the end.
- Defeat the pipe enemy and drop down. Use the Rush Coil to reach the bolts and then climb up the ladder at the left.
- Defeat the bottom pipe enemy before climbing to the top of the ladder. Then fire at the other 2 pipe enemies while avoiding their shots. Jump off the edge of the high platform and you should land on the platform.
- Go right and defeat any enemies in the way. Then go down the pit at the right. Defeat the next set of pipe enemies, jump across the pipes, and drop down the pit at the left.
- Follow the path ahead of you as you destroy the Metools. Go down the pit and destroy the bug enemies. Then drop down, grab the energy pellet if you need it, and go down the pit. Then go through the door at the right.
- If you go down the pit destroy the shrimp and grab the energy pellets. Drop down the next pit. When you reach the bottom, you will find an eye block and 2 bubble chambers. The air will also be blowing to the left.
- When the chambers are lit up, they will release large bubbles that you can ride it. The bubbles can be destroyed from inside.
- Grab the bolt and then go down the left pit. Hold the right button and you will land on a safe platform. The air will be blowing to the right in this area.
- Fire at the eye blocks as you go right. Then land on the bubble chamber and ride a bubble to the right. Then land on the next bubble chamber and ride it to the right. As you fall, go right and grab the ladder.
- Climb up the ladder. Watch out for the eye block before you get to the top. Go left, up the ladder, and go right. Destroy the enemies along the way. Note that the air will blow to the left in this area.
- You will want to avoid the bubbles in this area. They will fly you to the spike ceilings. Go right, destroy the enemies, and grab the 1up along the way. When you see the spike walls, drop to the floor and grab the E-tank. Avoid touching the spikes as you go.
- Climb up the ladder. Watch out for the eye block before getting to the top. Follow the path ahead of you as you destroy the eye blocks. Then go through the door at the end.
- Boss: Pump Man
- Pump Man will create small spheres of water that revolve around him. You weapons are ineffective against him at this point.
- Pump Man will jump around the stage a few times before he releases his water spheres. The spheres will move in a spiral and they move quick. Keep your distance so that you could react to the spheres accordingly.
- While Pump Man has no water spheres around him, fire your shots at him.
- When you defeat Pump Man, you will receive the Water Shield. The shield has 8 water spheres that revolve around you. When the shield is hit with an enemy or shot, the water sphere that gets hit will disappear.
- Weakness: Thunder Wool. The cloud alone is ineffective against Pump Man. The lightning that comes out will cause heavy damage to Pump Man while it can destroy the water spheres.
Wily Castle 1
- Head for the right. Along the way are a few jumping robots and a couple of missile robots.
- The jumping robots can by trapped in the puddle areas. Shoot at them from one of the higher platforms. Note that they will escape if you move or jump.
- Go right and through the door at the end.
- Boss: Wily Archive 1
- Each Wily Archive has 3 robots that represent robots from previous Mega Man games. They have different attack patterns and weaknesses.
- Elec Man: The robot will move up and down while firing electric bolts toward you. It is weak to Wheel Cutter.
- Wood Man: It will create a circle of leaves around it and then throw it towards you. Then 4 leaves will float down towards you. It is weak to Triple Blade.
- Gemini Man: It will fire a blue beam that will reflect around the room. The robot will then move around the room in a wave pattern. It is weak to Wheel Cutter.
- Go right and then go down the pit. When you land, watch out for the shield enemy. As the platforms disappear, jump onto the safe spots of the lower platforms. Grab the energy pellet at the left if you need it and then drop down the pit. The following area has 2 branching paths.
- Path 1
- Go down the pit at the left and then go left. Follow the path ahead of you as you defeat the Metools and the shield enemy. The following area has another branching path.
- If you go down the pit at the left watch out for the spikes along the walls. The spikes will shift a little bit so change your position accordingly to avoid touching the spikes.
- When you land, go to the right. Destroy the rolling enemy along the way and climb the ladders. Watch out for Sniper Joe as you go. Then go right when you reach the top platform.
- Fire at the basket enemy and go right. Jump into the timer and then land on the platform you jumped from. When the timer explodes, go over the wall and drop through the door.
- If you destroy the land mine and go down the pit it was guarding go left and destroy the basket enemy. Jump over the spikes and fire at the next basket enemy. Then go down the pit.
- Go down the platforms as you fire at the bug enemies. Go down the pit at the left. When you land, fire at the basket enemy and go right. Then jump into the timer and land on the platform. When the timer explodes, go above the wall and go down the door.
- Path 2
- Destroy the land mine by using a weapon on it. Then drop down the pit and go right.
- Destroy the platform enemy, the shield enemy, and the Metool. Go up the ladders and go right at the top platform. The next area with the missile launcher will have another branching branch.
- If you destroy the land mine and go down the pit it was guarding you will land on disappearing platforms. Watch out for the shield enemy. Land on the safe spots of the lower platforms as the higher platforms disappear. Repeat this until you reach the bottom. Grab the energy pellets and then go down the pit.
- When you land, shoot the basket enemy and then go left. Jump into the timer and land back on the platform at the right. When the timer exploded, jump over the wall and go down through the door.
- If you go down the right pit, follow the path to the right. Watch out for the jumping enemy along the way.
- Jump onto the timer. Then jump onto the timer at the left. Now immediately jump into the timer at the ceiling and land back onto the timer you just jumped from. Then jump onto the 5 timer at the right. When the timer at the ceiling explodes, jump to the platform and grab the E-tank. Watch for the missile launcher as you do this.
- Then go down the pit at the right. Fire at the basket enemy and then go down the next pit. Fire at the bug enemies and the Metool and go left through the path ahead of you. Climb up the ladder as you watch out for the Sniper Joe. Grab the energy pellet at the top.
- Go left and destroy the basket enemy along the way. Jump into the timer and then land back on the platform. When the timer explodes, jump over the wall and do through the door.
- Boss: Wily Archive 2
- Ring Man: It will shoot a ring towards you. It will stop at your position whether you jump over it or not. The robot will then move into the air and the ring will fly back to it. It is weak to Solar Blaze.
- Napalm Man: It will jump towards you and throw a couple of bombs at you. Move in the direction opposite of where it is positioned to avoid the bombs. If you are close to a wall, jump over the robot as it lands. It is weak to Rebound Striker.
- Flame Man: It will fire a series of fireballs in your direction. It will then cause columns of fire to sprout from the ground. Jump over the fireballs and watch for the spacing of the columns so that you could determine a safe spot to stand in. It is weak to Water Shield.
- When you destroy the 3 robots, drop down the pit and go to the right. Fire at the mouse pointer enemies as you watch out for the flying blocks. Go up the ladder and follow the path ahead of you.
- Fire at the bug enemy as you go right. Jump onto the timer and go back to the left. When the timer explodes, drop down the pit it was guarding.
- You should land on a pair of timers at the left. If you need the energy pellet at the left, jump to the timers at the left. When going towards the timer at the bottom left, land on the left timer, jump into the timer in front of the energy, and land on the right timer. When the leftmost timer explodes, jump to the energy pellet. In any case, go down the pit.
- You will land, you will be on platforms that will disappear. As the platform disappears, jump onto a safe spot of the lower platforms. Repeat this process until all the platforms disappear. Watch out for the shield as you fall down the pit.
- Watch out for the spikes as you fall. Then go right after the landing. Fire through the platform enemies along the way. Then fire at the rolling enemies. If their cannons are loose, watch out for their shots.
- Go up the ladder, go left, then go up the next ladder. Then go right and climb up the ladder at the end.
- At the top of the ladder, fire at the shield enemy. Then jump up the platforms and destroy the Sniper Joe. Then climb up the ladder at the top left. When you reach the top, go right as you watch out for the jumping enemy. Go through the door.
- Boss: Wily Archive 3
- Slash Man: It will land next to you and make a slash attack. Go in the opposite direction of its position or jump over it as it lands. It is weak to Chill Spike but only if it lands on the spikes. This may be difficult to pull off because the robot moves very fast.
- Frost Man: It will create columns of spikes that will flow towards you. It will then change positions and throw more spikes at you. It is weak to Commando Bomb only if it is hit by the exploding impact.
- Tornado Man: It will create cyclones that fly from the ground. While it creates the cyclones, you will be able to jump higher. Use this so that you can react to the cyclones as they appear. It is weak to Thunder Wool only if it is hit by the lightning bolt.
Wily Castle 2
- If you need to refill your weapons, grab the energy pellets. Then jump down to the bottom conveyor belt. Go right and fire at the small jumping enemy.
- If you want to go to the top platform, use the Rush Coil. Watch out for the jumping bomb as you make your jump. As you go right, a flying robot with a search light will appear. If you go into the light, the direction of the conveyor belts will change.
- Go right as you jump over the spikes. Grab the W-tank along the way. If you go through the bottom platform, fire at the guard enemy and jump across the conveyor belts. Grab the 1up along the way.
- When you see the blue block and the ladder, watch out for the jumping bomb as you jump to the ladder. Then climb the ladder.
- Go right and fire at the guard enemy. Then use the Commando Bomb on the yellow block below the ladder. Drop down and grab the E-tank. Then use the Rush Coil to jump up and climb the ladder.
- Jump onto the blue block and destroy the jumping enemy. Use the Rush Coil to reach the energy pellets if you need them. Then use Rush Coil to reach the ladder at the top left.
- Go through the ladders and to the door at the right. Destroy the snowmen and grab the energy pellet.
